This body was found by a passerby who could see the body just under the surface of the water in the Spokane River. The body was located just East of the Washington Street Bridge in the city of Spokane Washington. The body was wrapped around a metal support post that was in the water. The body was partially skeletonized and unrecognizable. Fingerprints were unobtainable. The anthropology exam indicates possibly Caucasian with possible African (Black) admixture.By Anthropology exam an estimated age of 33-55 years with an age emphasis toward age 40. The autopsy indicates an age range of 33-42 but not over age 50. The scalp hair is suggestive of African American or possible mixed race. The race is most likely mixed race but exact race could not be determined. The anthropology exam suggests that the jaw, nose, and left orbital ridge trauma probably occurred during a single traumatic injury. The body height could weigh 120-150 pounds and could be slightly taller that the measured height of 64.5 inches. This man would have had obvious facial deformities secondary to a traumatic injury or injuries.

This infant male as found in a garbage dumpster located at the HiCo Mart. A woman had her purse stolen and had searched the dumpster on the morning of 4-24-01. There was an athletic duffel bag noted in the dumpster by this woman. Later the woman decided to return to search again for her purse and opened the duffel bag and found that it contained what appeared to be an infant and bloody material. The infant was a full term infant male. There were some moderate putrefactive changes present. There were no anatomic congenital abnormalities seen. It is possible that the in fact was born alive. The toxicology report showed the presence of substantial alcohol and methamphetamine in the blood system of this infant. Our office has submitted samples for DNA profile in 2008 but have note received the results yet.

Can DNA from dead woman crack two King County cold cases?

~ 60’s male found sitting upright, face partially eaten by rats according to exam report, but still recognizable. Possible transient male. Dental information not mentioned in report. Fingerprints taken and no match through FBI. Death listed as natural, Arteriosclerosis, Arterioscerotic heart disease. Case report indicates that only an external exam of the body was done. Our office has asked that the original fingerprint card be located so that the prints can be uploaded into AFIS if this has not already occurred. Currently we are waiting for this to happen. NO DNA samples remaining for submission.
